Policies and Procedures

For All Students:

  • Students will maintain academic honesty and not copy others work, allow others to copy their work, plagiarize, or give out passwords to work as them online, etc.
  • All coursework must be completed within 42 days (24 days for Summer Session 1 and 26 days for Summer Session 2) of starting your course.
  • All written assignments need to be submitted using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). If you do not have these programs on your computer, a free version of OpenOffice is available via download at the following link: http://download.openoffice.org/ Please see the system requirements/instructions for further explanation.
  • All packets and assignments within a course must be completed in order.
  • When attending or visiting a site, students are expected to have their photo ID available, to respect the staff, property, and other students by adhering to good behavior.

For Virtual Students:

  • • All virtual students must check their email daily.
  • • All virtual students are responsible to record and submit attendance (via timesheet system) to indicate the amount of time used to complete assignments.
  • • Students will commit to work no less than 10 hours per week per course (20 hours per week for each class during Summer Session).
  • • Students are expected to access their class on a daily basis.
  • • All students must have a Proctor Agreement on file with their Advisor, all coursework and timesheets must be completed prior to taking the final exam.
  • • A parent or adult must be available to proctor the final exam for the student on or before the last day of class – no exceptions!
  • • All students are required to communicate with their assigned Academic Advisor no less than once a week.
  • • Failure to follow these guidelines may result in immediate withdrawal from Pinnacle.
